I'd say you where you going to drop "Black bear glade", in Beaver Creek...
But I guess you are in New Mexico in this picture

You got it!. I have not skied sugar in over 8 years, but grew up skiing this mtn. Spent labor day weekend in boone. Took the chair up and boy did it bring back memories of skiing as a kid in NC. Think I may have to give NC another try this year.

Not JH, but at least one word in your answer is correct.  Look in the background for a clue.

One of the chutes off of the Supreme Lift at Alta?  Don't know trail names though.

Correct, I think (from looking at the trail map) it is Supreme Challenge.  Anyhow it is the chute that comes off of Tower 13 of the Supreme lift.  One of my personal favorite shots at Alta.

Ok, time to get this started again. I bet this will not be easy. One hint: it is in North America.

Since no one had guessed it yet, here's a different view of the (widest) trail on the background.

AH&E's looks like the trees under the Pioneer lift at Park City.  Of course, it looks like every other set of steep pine trees too.

I think there is enough info to figure SImon's out from a trail map, but that should be for confirmation and/or details -- lets hear from someone who's actually seen it.  (I did not go that far out along the ridge the one time I was at Taos).

Wrong ridge.

Edit: I see why a couple of people guessed that way, the angle where the picture was taken from is not too common.

Arrrgg…too long since I’ve been there outside of the fact I have really, really poor orientation skills

Using the aid of your second photo clue…

Zdardsky with lift 8 at the base?

Now that it's closer to ski season and more people might be around, anyone have a guess for this one?  It's a real busy spot, I'm surprised no one has gotten it yet.

This is the January picture from an MandMs calendar my wife got from somewhere.  I walked by the fridge a few times and then stopped, scratched my head, and said "Hey, wait a minute.  I know where that is. I've stood right where that picture was taken many times".  Summer boredom gave me the motivation to finally scan it.  Unfortunately it's super cheap thin paper and the stuff on the other side blend through a bit.

So anyone know where it is?

It is not at Park City. But, yeah, I suppose it looks like trees at many places. If someone has been in that exact spot, though, they might recognize it. If no one gets it for a while, I will put up another one taken very near that one.

That could be any tree run I've skied in Colorado, or not.  Of those a flat out wild guess would be Steeplechase at Highlands..

I'd rather be skiing

There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad equipment.
