Excellent comprex! Gunder’s off Bachelor Gluch lift at Beaver Creek.

(did the Ritz or grooming give it away?)

Another view as Betsy goes by crossing over Gunder's now on Grubstake with The Ritz-Carlton below…:

Perhaps one from an old file...

A well organized mountain for all types of skiers…

The Ritz should have been a -dead- giveaway.

I am embarassed that it wasn't even though I've skied at Beaver.

Taking a Flyer at your above pic, I'm going to say Copper Mountain.

Andy's Encore or Oh No?

I’m thinking pictures with this much breadth are much too easy for you as your initial orientation is good. (And please tell me you did not use the clue given for the greater population).

Now, look closer at that picture and site it up.

Highline it is with Resolution lift on left although I would have accepted Cross cut if you look a bit right noticing the out of bounds line.

For a guy who skis that mountain I was wondering when you’d chime in. How do I know this you say? Tell me what run you are standing on here and don't let someone else name before you do

bonus points anyone?:

Oh man, I knew I'd be in over my head when I answered....

Ok, that looks like Treble Cliff behind me but I don't recall taking any pics there

Was the extra cred pic taken from the Grouse Mountain Express?

Cool. But hey, I'm not missin' out on my turn. I think this one's pretty easy.

[you still must take a shot at the prior picture]

Easy? By what standard brother bump

A big mountain look perhaps including Vail, Steamboat, WP…maybe even the Beav with the tree and cover. Too evenly spaced and too few pine for WP. I can’t recall anything at Vail that has that spacing and particular background drop & rise. Could be some areas off of Arrowhead at Beav but does not have the same pitch.

Steamboat rolls up and down and spreads out quite a bit and you talked about that place when we last skied together. Maybe something off Pony express?

Well I have no idea of the other details, but it sure looks like Vail to me and could be below the Ptarmigian Ridge.

Don, I want to say that it's Altaskier and Dooley, but not certain.

If God hadn't meant us to ski, why did He give us mountains, snow and gravity?

Cool! The first time I skied that ridge I was even a worse skier then I am now and it was intense! Like being on a roller coaster, and I couldn't slow down (or fall) because it was like a 2 track x-country track that day, and there were people behind me going (like me) about 30MPH and people ahead of me I was afraid of catching up on. I just had to hold on and stand there!

Then we skied O.S. down. And we all know what that stands for! Oh Sh*t!!!!

[side bar] I hear ya Steve. That ride down is...a ride down . Betsy and I have found the truest test of our conditioning comes when we must start over at Lionshead trying to make first morning powder tracks for example eventually over on Blue Sky’s Champagne Glade. Heading up, over and into Game Creek and lifting out on 7 is just a warm up. Then it really begins. [insert deep breath here] Jumping off 7 and mad skating while pole strap adjusting onto Ptarmigan and then launching over the lip down Ricky’s Ridge as best holding your GS type turns in various conditions [and others all doing same] all the way down to the narrows bending right eventually into 5’s gate corral.

Certainly with all that point to point area you’re covering at Vail most sane folks look at moving about as a marathon. But for some of us type A’s competing for as best first tracks as possible it’s all a sprint time test between the launch from chair 7 and the arrival at gate 5. Of course it starts allover again getting off 5 as you make your way over to teacup and beyond…but that’s another story

Nailed it Katy. A very impressive eye indeed as you picked up on the fine details that would lead you to…hold it…wait a second :

Say...isn’t that you on the left in your Copper colors leading a group just a few yards separated from Indian Ridge?

UNFAIR ADVANTAGE! Bonus points withdrawn
