Very big, great terrain, and luckily the snow was very good!

A quick review finds that Wear The Fox Hat has a puzzler still open and MAGGOT just posted a couple fresh (Bumpfreaq has a good response). Outside of that it appears BushwackerinPA has a particular run to be named...

Ok, it's time to take this thread in a slightly different direction: No lifts, no ridge lines, but I think this is distinctive enough to be workable.

Hmmm...somewhere at Stowe? Either that or I was going to say the first cliff in Deliverance at Jay, underneath the lift...not likely though.

I like the specifics that you gave for the cliff at Jay. Unfortunatley this isn't it. You're going to have to narrow it down a bit more with the Stowe guess.

BTW, deliverance generally only refers to the set of woods to skiers right of the liftline under the bonaventure (red) chair at jay. This glade has three distinct entrances, but the chute under the lift with the the drop at the top is part of the liftline trail. It is called the Office in some local circles.

Perhaps, but this pandemonium is sooo slope-side realistic--you know--people skiing all over the place, cross traffic, dangerous choke points, yelling and screaming, patrol pulling passes. In other words a virtual WROD experience better preparing us for the upcoming season

Yea, well I almost never take pics in bounds, so I can't play if I don't use random pics from the web.

I could start posting BC pics and have people try and guess the peak and the line if I wanted to make it really hard. In fact, I'll do just that, but I'll start with an easy one. I'll even give hints. If the picture showed a bit more to the right down the chute it would be more obvious, but it doesn't so look to the valley/road/buildings/tiny bit of water in the background for clues. I think I've said too much.



Dude, I've never skied east of the rocky mountains and even I know that's the Waterfall at Stowe and that its closed and you have to poach it. And, that it looks painful.

Right on. The landing IS awfully flat (as are many E.C. landings) but based on the bomb-holes in this pic this probably wasn't a bad day to hit it. btw, this waterfall is right under the Gondola. You can even see a little corner of one at the top of the pic.
