What I meant that you were a bit off in your memory is that is a Camaro, not a Mustang.

Yeah, I like both the old stuff and the new stuff -- just depends on the mood I'm in...

The image on the Scarab is a Fuel Altered (very popular NHRA class in the late 60's). The body is based on a very modified Fiat Topolino from the 40's. In the background is a Fuel Funny Car based on a Cuda or a Challenger from the early 70's, it hard to tell which one. The image behind The Boss is another Fuel Altered based on a '32 Austin Bantam (I currently own one but have not been able to afford to race it for 3 years now). The graphics on the Stage 1 are another Funny Car and Pete is correct, it is a Camaro. But, in the background they have a Top Fuel Dragster from the late 70's or 80's. There is quite a mish-mash between the classes here. I agree with Rossi, IMO, a single canvas is much more appealing.

Thanks -- they are cartoons so I guess they should be amusing !! -- Just remember this was still in the rough
conceptual phase and is from a couple years ago -- nothing final. They are cartoons -- kind of going for the
Big Daddy Ed Roth look without copying his style. I just threw in some drag racing photos all from the early/mid 70s to add a little something in the background -- no intention in creating any kind of order or hierarchy in divisions of drag racing.

I just threw in some pretty pictures.
... You're talk'n to the artist/designer. I know designs like this aren't meant for a "retro memories" thread -- I intended them more for teens. Personally I like more simple graphics on my own skis -- but it's fun to get a little creative for the younger crowd. I figured bringing up graphics like this on a retro site would be like serving
hamburgers to vegetarians, but hey, I like to experiment!

ahhhh - ok I always was shooting in the dark with little info -- the curse of working via the internet.

Nice cool woodies up there! I'm leaning towards the opinion that hart might have just added their name to some water skis and the skis were manufactured elsewhere by a different vendor. But, it is possible they made some water skis. I don't have anything to indicate otherwise. Does it say "made in St Paul MN on it?
