I thought that was pretty slick the way he reached behind himself and tapped that goal stick aside.  He was just trying to make sure nobody tripped on it and got hurt [\whistling]

Detroit is rolling....the kids are making them work for it though

These playoffs this year has been some really good hockey with many of the

games going to OT.

We get a night of rest then back to Pen's business tomorrow

Datsyuk, Holmstrom and Zetterburg are not scoring.  It really is amazing how Detroit can win when its best players are not putting up points.  It shows that in the playoffs, defense is more important than offense.

Ozzie is only going to be appreciated after he retires and is in the Hall.

Yeah, maybe Friday's the night when they get back in the game from a scoring perspective.  Datsyuk's game has been pretty solid except for the point drought.  Hossa could break out again too.

I'm ready for some Pens / Canes action tonight.  I was impressed with the Canes defense, they just need to play a more complete game than they played in game one.  Should be a good one.  Pass the chips and the beer.  :)

Reportedly had something to do with some kind of sport played on grass in Pittsburgh. Never watch it myself.

They actually stop after each "try" to score or something.....People watch that crap?

On a comepletly different topic

GO PEN'S

Terrible defense tonight, might as well take a seat in the sin bin since nobody's stopping anybody anyway.

We need 4 wins, the Gwins only need 2.  Never over til it's over though.   I really don't want to watch the Wings and Gwins again for the cup this year.  I'll be watching tonight when I get home.  Mom's flying in to visit so I'll probably not see anything but the 3rd period after picking her up at the airport then going out to dinner with the family.  If I were single I'd be at the game, but I wouldn't trade family for all the cups in the world of course.

Go Canes!

The boyz had it working last night!

I'd say this puts the Cane's in a bad place now

Let's see what happens in Chicago this afternoon, I've got to believe that the Wing's

will rebound and go up 3-1...we'll see

Gotta say with Cole less than 100% the Canes are right back to the way they were before getting him back.

What happen to Cam Ward? Has the Canes defense in front of the net always been this bad?  It's not over yet but the Cane dug a deep hole. If they ever figure out how to stop Malkin, next they'll have to figure out how to stop Malkin and Crosby on the same line. I look for the Pen to finish this Tuesday night unless the Canes can remember how to play defense.

I was worried that the Wings might let the Hawks back in, but they slammed the door today.  6-1.

Lidstrom and Dats hurt does not bode well.  Hopefully, they are minor lower body injuries.

A big double OUCH for the home teams this weekend.  The Canes sure don't look like the team that took out NJ and Boston.  Either that or the Pen's are far better than they played during the regular season.  Ward has been left hung out to dry by some really bad play on the part of his defense.

As for the Hawk's, they haven't shown that they can consistently beat Detroit for several years now; somehow I don't see them coming back from a 3-1 hole to take this series.  Huet didn't get much help up front, but he didn't play up to the level he has shown in the past either.

I'm not thrilled about a Pen's - Wing's rematch, but given how the Pen's are playing right now, maybe this time, they'll really make a series of it.  On the other hand, haven't seen a team that anticipates puck movement like the Wing's do night after night.  If there is a team out there that can gum up the works for Pittsburgh, it's Detroit.

Meh, at least the Hurricanes shook up local support for the Steeler's coach snicker snicker

"Pittsburgh, It's 7:30 pm.  Do you know where your football coach is?"

I can't believe we're here again....after the disaster that was our regular season.  That said, bring on the Wings.  This team is focused, hungry and on fire...oh, and lead by what seems to be a real Coach.  I have a really good feeling about the destiny train that is rolling HARD this year.

Pens in 6 skating the Cup at the Igloo in front of the home crowd for the first time in 17 years.  Hossa can suck it :)

The real championship series was the Wings v. Ducks.  The Penguins will go down like last year.  There only hope is that Fleury stands on his head.

I think last night was the best goal tending exhibition I've ever seen  I'll be pulling for the Penguins, mostly because they haven't won it recently.  It's too bad the really old man (Chelios) is injured.  I'd like to see him get some final glory instead of riding the bench with a busted leg.  I can see him coaching the Blackhawks in the not too distant future.

Without a doubt, some of the best goaltending of the series and of the whole playoffs.  Kudo's to Huet for stepping into the fray and putting the previous game behind him.

I likewise will be pulling for the Pen's mostly cause I still think of them as the underdogs in this fight.  Sounds like most of the pundits are leaning towards the Wings, but Pittsburgh certainly looks like they are a much better team than last year's edition.  If the Wings do win out, my bet is Osgood will be the key player.  He has really stepped up his game in the playoffs.

Any bets on whether or not Bill Cohwer will be at any or all of the Wings Vs Gwins games?  He's a pretty big hockey fan and certainly could score the tickets in spite of pulling for Carolina up to now.  I'm thinking he'll jump ship and pull for Pittsburgh now.  I did (until next year that is)

I sure hope the Wings feel the same. Detroit is the defending Champs and back in the finals to defend their crown.SI just named them the best team in pro sports. They are the best until the Cup is won by another team.

The Wings will be favored with home ice advantage. I wonder how they would do without the lively boards of the Joe that often bounce pucks right out in front of the opposing team's net.
