I want to have a "ski with Annelise day"  - yes, a brilliant marketing ploy.....

Actually, that can be arranged! In fact, she and I have been working on an event idea that would include the "ski with Annelise day," her fitness training, and some additional time with the two of us guiding students in the concepts that I outlined in my book. Wouldn't that be a great time?

I spoke with Annelise this afternoon, and we're going to put together an event later in the season. We'll let you all know as we get the details ironed out. There will be skiing as well as presentations on Annelise's Ski Stronger program and my Open Your Heart with Skiing, too. We'll let you know as we find a location and time for it.

My 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son are both on 151 Pilgrims.  I must say that I think that it is much better placing an advanced child on a softer adult ski than a junior ski. Atleast, this is the case when the child is skiing softer snow, powder and in the rockies.  For example, my son and daughter are "meh" when they have to crash gates with their tigersharks, but they are beaming when they are making turns with the Pilgrims in Mineral Basin, off the Road to Provo, or 9990/dutches draw.
If anyone sees two kids on the Snowbird Adventure team making mach schnell turns on Pilgims, they're probably my kids.

Happy October to you all!

Just wanted to invite you to the Icelantic Gallery tomorrow (Friday) night.  We are "unveiling" the 2009-2010 line with original paintings.
We will have delicious Tommyknocker beer, live music, great people, and maybe a snow dance or two.  It's the First Friday Art Walk here in the Santa Fe art district in Denver - for those of you who live close and have never been, I'd encourage it!  Pretty electrifying.

P.S.  I'd love to do a ski day - you seem like might fine folk.  Maybe we can make something happen!

I was thinking that, actually, but we're going to have to see what we can find and what deal we can make. We'll let you know; Annelise and I are getting together next week to begin the next stage of planning...

We had a great meeting, and Annelise is going to be contacting a number of potential host areas looking for options and timing. We've got a few really great things planned, and members of Icelantic's First Tracks group will be part of it, as well. More as it evolves!

I just talked to Annelise yesterday to order some skis, she is very nice. Maybe we can also do a late trip at The Basin over Mothers Day.
