i've actually been in Denver since Friday. Missed connecting with any Epic heads on Sat, but got a 1/2 day in at Copper and had a wonderfully wild romp in Frisco that night (Uncle Louie has proclaimed me a "god" for linking up with 4 lovely ladies for the night). Relaxed Sunday and then did another 1/2 day at Loveland on Monday. Conditions similar to Cali: mostly hardpacked minimal powder and windblown...stay on the groomers and you're cool. Headed to Telluride tomorrow for 4 days.

How bad/good is Squaw at the moment? I should be racing there at the weekend

I'll be wearing a ski jacket, ski pants, and wearing skis. Helmet. Goggles. Keep an eye out

I guess Sierra Avalanche Center is really hurting for cash. I hope more folks will buy the $40 ticket and show up. I don't see any reason not to be there. It should be a beautiful sunny day just like the rest of the winter.

Tyrone, you want any more of the short skinny skis for the hardpack?

no thanks. I'm not really going to be skiing groomers except here and there. and I know there's lots of stuff I'll be skiing where I'd want more ski than the stuff we were demo-ing at SB.

The wind came up last night so I decided not to go. Looks like the right decision. At 10:00 AM everything worthwhile is on wind hold and on the webcam it appears even chair #5 is not turning. Miserable

But it was boring so the day had to end with a little hike with the pup.

wow, maybe Colo is better than Cali/Neva right now. At least there was snow/ice on the roads and in the parking lots the entire time I was out there 1/12-1/22.

No way Colorado is more fun than what I got to do Sunday
