Smokey Bear. Brewed right here in Hyattsville, Md. at Franklin's General Store. You have to come to the 'hood to get this. They can fill a jug for you to take home. It's made with smoked malt, tasted to me like a beer that would appeal to a scotch drinker. (I don't drink whiskey much and usually bourbon when I do, but) I like this beer.

Hey Tief, when you lived in Germany, was there a brewery in your town? The myth is that there's one in every town...not true as you & I know. I happened to live in Lichtenau (near Nuernberg) home of the Hauff brewery founded in 1489. I lived there in 1989. The party they threw for the 500th Anniversary of the brewery was......epic. The festplatz was 2 blocks from my house. 2 weeks of crawling home, avoiding the sheep dung in the streets....man, I miss Germany.

Tried Jose Cuervo Black ...Not recomended. Good with heavy mixer but that's not right for Tequila.

I did like the Sauza Commerative Anejo. Not all that expensive ($26)and a very nice flavor.

No brewery in my town, we were hardly a dot on the map. The nearest local brewery was Auer Brau in Rosenheim. But it was all good really. I "remember" many a drunken crawl home from a fest, good times.
