Kakutsuru Sake. Not cheapo cooking rice wine, about $9.00 a bottle. But not exotic either. Sake is good stuff and it doesn't have to be boiling hot to taste good if it's good sake. Better sakes are delicious cold. I actually like it better than an equivalent grape wine in the same price range.

I have acquired a real appreciation for cold, unfiltered sake...good stuff.

Gevrey-Chambretin

2006 Frédéric Esmonin Clos Prieur

Bready strawberry aroma on a lean light cherry middle and a spicy light finish. Mmm. Almost a thirst-quencher if it wasn't for the strong alcohol. Not worth saving past the summer, tho. Does well poured from a chilled bottle holder.

Marks & Spencer IPA, brewed (apparently) by Burton Bridge brewery: http://www.burtonbridgebrewery.co.uk...ry/Index.shtml.

(Getting ready to leave the old country and feeling sentimental about the place ...)

S.Pellegrino which is not as good IMHO as Perrier, which in turn is not as good as Pedras Salgadas.

I know it's not proper to drink it from a bottle, but it's been $3.99 a sixer for the past month.

The heaviness of the complexity fuels the force behind the dart that hits the mark.

What are you drinking right now

Amaretto Sour. It's bitter and sweet. Its a lovely shade of dark amber and it tastes ten times better than beer. Occassionally i do drink Budweiser and Pabst, but those aren't really alcoholic drinks.
