Nothing I am at work, but a swig of scotch would make things go oh so much smoother right about now.

Kind of like a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down? By the way, I think work is vastly overrated. I'm thinking about going on unemployment so I can just sit around the house and drink. It must be five o'clock somewhere (like newfoundland or rio.)

Based on my newly found convictions, I just went to get a Gammel Dansk.

From the label: Gor godt om morgenen, efter dagens dont, under jagten, paa fisketuren eller som aperitif. (Rough translation: Does you good in the morning, after the day is done, while hunting or fishing, or just as an aperitive.)

Now how can you argue with that kind of logic?

Skaal!

Yes. As it gets warmer and I don't mind passing out in my van as much, I'm sure I'll be getting my beer muscle better exercise...

Xairel vinho regional ribetejano 2005

A saucy little portugee with bright fruit resulting from a combination of Castelao, Trinkadiera and Preto Martinho grapes...

and all this for under $ 10 a bottle, highly recommended if you can find it.

Excuse me, I have to go check my Shepherd's pie. I put a little ground lamb and some herbes provencal in it so the combination should work nicely.

As found at the annual Loveland Ski School Reunion Party

Found some at Daveco today. I'll have to see if it tastes the same down at 5400 ft. Don't know if it's the grilled brats that make it tasty either.

I teach snowboarding and pegger ski biking at Winter Park Resort.
What's pegger ski biking?  Glad you asked!
Ski biking at Winter Park on a powder day...ahhhh.

Mexican Coke. Always pick one up when I see it at the store. Delicious, shames the crap bottled in the US made from, like everything else in the US, corn.

Yep...foreign Coke tastes better. Coca-Cola from Brasil tastes damn good, like you dont want to stop drinking it, its so good.

Speaking of which tonight I had a Coke Zero and Rum, with a twist of lemon.

Then some Cabernet with dinner.

Finally some single malt scotch on the rocks.

Damn I sound like an alchy.

I need to refull, be right back...........

Splurged on a six of Sierra Pale Ale instead of the usual Milwaukee's Best Ice. After spending 6+ hours in the Howard University ER waiting room where I was taken after being run over by a car. Had to leave before the doctor saw me, it was taking too long and the beer stores were closing. The second time I have been taken by ambulance to Howard, both times left without seeing a doctor. The service there is not good.

Marked improvement each day, thanks.

I had decided to buy beer on the way home, but my wallet was empty. The liquor store will not take credit for purchases of less than $10, so I decided to get some good (expensive) beer and avoid having to stop at the ATM. It was rainy and I just wanted to get home. Had I opted to stop at the ATM, I would have ridden onto the sidewalk and safety. I had not traveled more than one foot beyond the bank's driveway when I got struck. And that's the rest of the story.
