Couple bottles of Otter Creek Winter Ale.......

Never had it before, not quite what I expected, it has surpassed my expectations by quite a bit...I WILL drink this again.

Another winner from Otter Creek in my book.

Wanted to add that a select few of you really know your beers quite well.....excellent taste round here huh?

How was this? I saw it at the packy tonite and almost bought a sixer...never seen it there before, although I know the majority of their offerings are superb to decent, wanted to get your thoughts.
Worth a try? Sounds like it is....

worth trying bottled? Maybe even cellaring some for a bit?

Fresca...
but I second the vote for the Lemoncello. Just discovered it not too long ago. Quite refreshing. I tried it with raspberry lemonade and absolut citron as well. Not half bad.

To be is to ski; the Rockies, of course!

<Lip smack> Hmmm. Better like hops - 130 IBU. Sweet to start and then bitter, bitter, bitter.

This one will stand up to some hearty smoky meats/cheeses if you have to eat too.

Was just looking for something refreshing with a little zest to whet the pallet before heading off for dinner. Pleasantly surprised.

Upon returning from a beautiful Central Valley bicycle ride today, not feeling like I was anywhere near the winter season I decided to crack a seasonal that has proven quite refreshing.

Shipyard's Pumpkinhead.

Not overly sweet. Just hinted enough with the autumn flavor so that as the sun has gone down and I toss in a MSP Dvd, I'm right back in the zone.

Haven't tried this one yet, but the Oktoberfest and Stove Pipe Porter were superb.

Just plain water for me tonight though.

It was better out of the tap. It had a less mellow finish out of the bottle. But yea, I bought another sixer to age a year of two.

My latest homebrew! A bitter lager. I brew in a large fermenter with a tap, and then bottle for finishing and carbonation. Very fun hobby, and boy oh boy you save some money, especially in Australia where grog is taxed horribly. (grog in the US, even in Utah, is cheap as chips in comparison).

Couple ounces of Sauza Tres Generaciones and a TBSP of Agave syrup, with the juice and pulp of one fresh lime, soaking in an ice bath.

Not too shabby . . .

Oh and the Brooklyn Black Chocolate is great....really unique taste and mouthfeel....This will be a winter staple for me from now on...THanks again guys.

Tief- I haven't tasted via tap, but I can see how the end of the glass would benefit over bottle....get's a tiny bit harsh at the end.

Grabbing a bottle of delicious tuck's headwall alt and some food....goodnite and goodluck!

Still a little early here, just finished off the pot of coffee, Folgers "gourmet".

I did hit up Beers of the Wolrd yesterday with my parents, they bought more then I did, and left most of it here:

Molson XXX (Dad bought this at the grocery store, not very tasty, but 7% alcohol)
Spaten Oktoberfest (haven't tried yet)
Full Moon (I like this, but my Mom only bought 1 to try)
Allagash Dubbel Reserve (pretty good, couldn't quite figure out the aftertaste)
Otter Creak Winter Ale (Liked the Stove Pipe Porter better, but still very good)

Those of you familiar with the War Zone in Albuquerque might be interested to know that i just came back from there, and I'm drinking a Rolling Rock of all things unholy. I do think the guy on the skins at the bar I was at own3d, and I do think he should go someplace where his skill would be better appreciated pronto.

It's still Doppelbock season.
