I remember skiing with my old man after he bought them, and everywhere we'd go, people would be complimented his The Ski's in the liftline.
Was it simply the graphics that made them special? Anything else? I never did get the full story on why they were such attention grabbers.

If you can get a pic of them to post, that would be great. Oh, and Bessers were never "perfectly good"

.
You really do not want to ski them, leave the mystique in tact. "The Ski" was the premier bump and powder ski of its day. Most were mounted with Spademan bindings and had Scott Boots. Scott also made a matching ski pole for them.
The Ski made 3 models The Ski, Black Magics (The Ski in black) real sharp and IMO better looking and TRS, The Racing Ski. The TRS were different colors, IIRC one ski was red and the other was blue. These were never taken seriously by racers but it was a last effort offered by the company before they closed.
Bobby Burns did come back later and offered a powder ski with similar graphics but it never took off and was around maybe a year or so. Someone else might have some more knowledge here.
