It took all of my self control to stop myself at yelling, "Watch it, jerk!" My wife and I were pushing our newborn son's stroller, so I had to stifle my impulse to wrap the 170cm skating poles around the guys neck.

You hit another one that has taken me off the cement trail. Those inliner’s who are practicing for World Cup scare me worse than circus clowns. With those huge side to side pushes in a rhythm where they dare you not interrupt, and with those so called poles, rather, weapons (called Bear spears around here) puts any opposing cycle or gang with a 3 wheel baby stroller in the ditch. I hope you did not retain scars. And I hope you, wife and son never meet my worst fear, a circus clown nordic roller skier…oh God the horror! Cover your son's eyes!!!

Not exactly me and my bike, but close, especially now with temps turning cooler and Thanksgiving just around the corner:

Yeah, around 193lbs. And my trailer isn't so empty these days. Dispatch is starting to get the idea that I want to carry freight. I did 17 car jobs today, no bike jobs.

I hate the women that whine "I asked for a car..." I want to tell them "I can get your package to it's destination just like a car. There IS a much greater chance of your package getting damaged, but hey, my vehicle is non-polluting!"

47mph. :

How was the ride this year?

We were out of town. I heard the weather was really nice but I didn't hear whether there was much wind (good or bad). I also heard there was a LOT of traffic.

Did you meet/beat your goals?

Hunchback? Hills?

(I'm at center/right, with the posture like F. Mancebo...).

Haha. Mancebo. I always want that guy to win. What a wierd position. Maybe I've become a fan because he is so easy to pick out of the group. Or maybe because he looks so bad on the climbs, like he's about to fall over or collapse. Looks are deceiving though, he's one of the best climbers.

Dino, you're looking better than Francisco there, I doubt you are riding as fast as he does, but you look like you're getting your ride on.

Carbo, you're riding so fast in those last two shots, I can only see the background scenery... On another subject, it seems that you have removed your birthday from your profile, but I recall it's in early October. Happy birthday!

Yeah, I go about 1/2 as fast as Mancebo; I guess you can look funny when you go that fast. Anyway, that's a nice century up & down the central coast of CA. [see photo in link: http://www.slobc.org/Lighthouse.html]

I had a funny ride. Our group didn't work together & guys were surging to much. If there wasn't a brisk headwind between miles ~20-54, then I might have just done it solo. I probably spent 1/2 of the time above my lactate threshold HR, and most of the rest of the time in "tempo."

Not nearly as tough or fast as the ride HB did, but it could've been a lot easier if we just set a nice pace & kept it without all the surging...oh well, live & learn.
