K2 Axis Pro vs Dynastar Speed SX question

Was in my local ski shop and saw both of these skis in 174 and 178 respectivly. I'd like a ski that is excellent in powder OR good at speed on the groomed and in bumps. I have a pair of G3's in 177, are the Axis Pros too similar to use effectively as a second ski? Any imput on either ski would be helpful!

I don't know the other two skis you mention, but I can vouch for the Axis X Pro: In my opinion, it is

excellent in powder
AND

good at speed on the groomed
But it is stiff, which I find means it's not as easy to use in the bumps.

If God hadn't meant us to ski, why did He give us mountains, snow and gravity?

I went from the earlier Speed SF from the '99-2000 season (a really stable GS ride at any speed on hard snow) to the Axis X Pro last season. I was not disappointed in the stability at speed, and I found the ski much more useable in softer conditions like pow and slop. However, I'm a 220-pounder. I've heard lighter folks say the pro is too stiff. They found the Axis X to suit their tastes better. But I don't know anything about the '02-'03 lineup for either brand.

I'll second foxes comments I have the pro & I love it but it is for fasssssst skiing it will bust crud float in some powder I haven't had mine in deep powder but the one thing they do not do well is moguls, two sheets of titanium make these things very unforgiving in moguls & I would also worry about bending them.I have talked to some shop rats that use them in moguls but I don't know what type of tecnique they would use, I bought some mach s for moguls & skiing slow with the family. just my .02
