Stowe burgers

My buddies told me of some place at the bottom of the mountain road that's supposed to have these awsome burgers. I think they said it was below or behind a hotel or something. We went to The Whip, but they said it wasn't that place. Anyone know where there's a good burger joint by the corner of 100 and 108?

Maybe the Matterhorn? The Shed is has some good burgers and even better beer.

Neither the Matterhorn nor The Shed are near the junction of 100 and 108. But I second The Shed as a recommendation.

I still think the place you were told about is Gracie's. I just looked on their website and they've moved, says they're at 1652 Mountain Road now. Not sure exactly where that is. Ask your buddies if the place is the one with the "dog theme."

Definetly the Shed and The "Shed" and "Barn" Burgers.

I too recommend the Shed. I think there is a place across the street from the Inn that the Whip is in, but I forget the name of it.

Or is it Otter Water (comes from an Otter). The beer is marginal.

Thanks guys and gals. I forgot I started this topic! I called my buddy last night and read him your resopnses. As soon as I mentioned Gracies, he said that was it. Maybe we'll have to try some of these other places you mention. Thanks, Aceman

Just remember that Gracie's has moved farther up the Mountain Road so you might need to ask someone where it is.

Gracie's

Ahhhhh Gracie's. My favorite place to eat at Stowe. I was unware that they had great burgers. I've eaten there probably ten times, and everytime I've eaten there has been awesome. Everytime we go to Stowe, Gracie's is the first place we eat after skiing.

If I recall, you go throught the stop light and make the first left into a alley. Gracie's is down a set of stairs. I also believe that it is next door to some kind of visitor's center.

We went to the Fox Fire inn to eat one night. Wow! It was really good. It was very relaxed. 3 hours later we left all full. We're going back this year no matter what! Aceman

Think that's another place... Gracies is up the 108 farther not near the light.

Its actually near the Shed, Village Green condos, and the Stoweflake. I don't know the exact cross road for Gracies but its on the right side (going towards the mtn), right before Cape Cod Rd which is Village Green and about 1/10 mi before the Shed.

SCWVA is thinking of Gracie's. Gracie's USED to be down a set of stairs near the junction of 100 and 108 (Mountain Road). However, they have MOVED. They are now farther up 108 (Mountain Road).

Correct! They're near Cottage Club Rd, near Stoweflake.
