Best Ski Racing DVDs?

Looking for the best modern ski racing DVDs for off-season visualization. I don't want to waste time with parks and cliff-jumping, and I'm sick of the OLN TV replays that only show 3 minutes of skiing over a 60 minute show.

What's out there?

Books and tuning stuff too. So far I have the classics (The Athletic Skier, Ski Faster, Al Hobart's stuff) but getting anything modern (post 2000) is pretty thin.

Thanks

The CSCF makes a video of the best skiers in the world every other year. I think it's mainly Canadian guys, but I remember watching a video from them last year that had some of Bode's best Slalom runs on it.http://www.snowpro.com/cscf/cscftv/index.htm

PS: Careful if you're at work, it has embedded audio.

not exactly what you're after but...

definitely a departure from what you're looking for but In Search of Speed, featuring Miller and Daron Rahlves, is a fun watch. Includes segments featuring their winning WC runs.

Some "dryland" stuff, too; Rahlves motoring the Harley around Truckee; Miller in his U.S. Open (tennis) exhibition with Steffi Graf.

the DVD is definitely geared more toward entertainment than gate technique, though the race footage includes some great stuff.

fwiw, you might get more feedback with this in the technique, rather than gear section.

Those videos are great...very helpful. It actually breaks down the technique for you.

I received a copy of World 2005 yesterday. It's fantastic. It's composed of three sections: Slalom, GS and Speed events. For each discipline, there are three sections: Drills, free skiing and gates. There is no dialog at all during these sections. All visual. To see guys like Grandi, Raich, Vidal, Schoenfelder free skiing is incredible. There is a snippet of Raich carving short slalom turns at slow speed that is mind blowing.

At the end there's a small section on technique. Nothing extensive though.

If you order, be patient. My copy took around three weeks to arrive.

Sorry for my English (I'm French)!:

On the CSCF DVD'S, since may be three years, there's a really interesting section named: "tech talk". It's about what the national ski coach are working On with their athletes. I think It's an excellent up date before a new season.

you can buy those DVD'S on it: www.snowpro.com/cscf/cscftv/index.htm

How ironic!  Most of the time here people say "Pardon my French, I'm English".

Frank welcome to EpicSki.  Pardon the interruption.   We have several prominent CSCF coaches that post here.

The CSCF DVD of all the winning runs from the WC season is good.  I just watched the Men's 2009 season last night, & will get to the Women's runs tonight.
