Can someone tell me the differences between the two? Is one superior to the other?

I always thought that Intuition purchased the rights to Thermoflex from Raichle..... I bet Phil Pugliese knows for sure.
At any rate, I use Thermoflex liners and I love them.

If you're talking about the old Raichle Thermoflex - not the new Kastle/Kneissl (who bought out Raichle three years ago) Thermoflex - I don't think much has changed. I know that Scarpa and Dynafit have options for most of their Randonnee and Telemark boots, which are marketed as Thermoflex. Intuition is a small Canadian company whose liners are superior to the old Thermoflex - same technology (EVA foam sheets that are heat-moldable) but have better quality control. What is interesting that Garmont's new Randonnee boots have liners that are all heat-moldable (all have a tongue - even the high four-buckles), and www.MoldableLiners.com has the same thing. Kneissl and Raichle have gone belly-up in the U.S., but I'm not sure if they sold their Thermoflex process to different companies here - I don't think so, but I have no way of checking.

I have some '02 Flexons (Kniessel) w/the Thermofit's. So are you saying these are comparable to Intuition's liner?

They are comparable, I would imagine. Dynafit and Scarpa have Thermofit options for some of their Randonnee boots, and they must be licensed by Raichle/Kniessl.

I've used both. They're both good. The older Thermoflexes(3-4 years ago) were supposedly not quite as good as the Intuition but they've caught up- I believe Scarpa is making them now and they're available through Black Diamond. Deep Powder House at Alta is carrying Intuition this year. Like I said, they're both good- but any moldable liner is only as good as the tech molding it.

Hi,

I have found a place to purchase Thermoflex liners on line but not Intuition. Can anyone tell me of an internet site that sells them or a boot fitter that that does? I live in upper NY State near Lake Placid, NY.

I also want to know if I should get new custom foot beds. Mine are bout 10 years old and my local boot fitter has moved away. What type and where do you recommend I get them?

Thanks,

102
