In the United States, two bodies govern collegiate ski racing, the NCAA and the USCSA.

NCAA programs are varsity sports and as such will have high standards of performance for participation. The United States Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Association (USCSA) is the sports federation for collegiate team ski racing and snowboarding in America. You can be part of a team at any college in the United States. The USCSA sponsors alpine, cross country or snowboard collegiate competition programs. If your college does not have a team, the USCSA can assist you in getting one started.
